OA EVENT DAY .. Sponsorships Day .. Saturday, August 19, 2017

Sponsorship Day is a new event day for our Fellowship. Plan your event to celebrate the role of sponsorship in individual recovery.

The Saturday Morning Stepping into Recovery Group has agreed to host this event.

So, on Saturday, August 19 their regular meeting will be focused on Sponsorship, a great topic and will lead to lots of great sharing. All are invited to join. They hold their meeting at 11:00 am at 13 – 15 Pippy Place, The Carnell Building, side entrance.

For July 12 and July 19, the Wednesday Night Meeting will be held in the common room of Sobey’s at the intersection of Torbay Road and Elizabeth Ave. Meeting time will remain the same.

Meetings will return to St. James United Church on July 26.

Hi to everyone,

The first Saturday of every month, we, The Saturday Morning Stepping into Recovery Group hold our meeting at 11:00 am at 13 – 15 Pippy Place, The Carnell Building, side entrance. Following the meeting we have a Brown Bag lunch. Tea, Coffee and tap water is provided. If you want milk or bottled water please bring it with you. We will also have a “free” clothes and book exchange. It is the Fellowship we enjoy the most of course. Please do come and join us for the meeting and the Fellowship.

It’s a great time to have an informal chat with your fellow O A members. Hope to see you there and may God Bless each of you and we hope to see you at the meeting.

The Saturday Morning Stepping into Recovery Group (tsmsirg)

Wednesday Night will have it’s Group Conscious meeting Wednesday, June 28 at 7:00 pm before it’s normal meeting. On the agenda will be the update to the Wednesday Night Meeting format and a discussion of the group’s future after December 2017.

Saturday Morning will have it’s Group Conscious meeting, Saturday, June 24 at 12:30 pm.

There will be a brown bag lunch to follow the 11:00 am meeting and the GC meeting will start at 12:30 pm.

All are welcomed to attend.

There will be an inter-group meeting Saturday, May 13 at 12:30PM. All are welcome to attend.

Because of last Saturday’s cancellation they will be haveing their brown bag lunch, book and clothing exchange this Saturday, April 8th. 

Sorry everyone, but the weather this morning is no joke! And because of this we are cancelling this mornings (Saturday, April 1, 2017) meeting. 

Stay safe and we’ll see you at next weeks meeting. 

As a tool to help our fellow OA members, we’ve started a YouTube channel for the island group. This channel will host member’s story of how they came to OA and their struggles, as well as recorded skype meetings (Members will be told in advance when meetings will be recorded and all who speak will use assumed identities to keep with tradition). We hope this will become a valuable tool for our fellow Newfoundland and Labrador OAer’s and any and all other OA members out there.
